Christmas Dining at Gibbon Bridge

A special festive atmosphere is guaranteed at the Gibbon Bridge to make your Christmas celebrations truly memorable. From Monday 1st December we have menus to suit all occasions; dine privately in one of our fine dining rooms; enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner in our Restaurant or even sample a Christmas Al fresco party. Whichever way you decide to celebrate we will assure you of wonderful food, fine wines, an abundance of goodwill and warm welcome from the team. Gibbon Bridge Christmas House Party

Wednesday 24th December
Arrive early afternoon to a warm welcome and meet your fellow residents for a delicious traditional afternoon cream tea in front of the roaring open fire in the Cavalier Lounge. In the evening reconvene for Champagne and an array of the chef’s finest canapés and enjoy a sumptuous dinner with fine wine
accompanied by the soft sounds of jazz. Unfortunately we are unable to offer transport to the local chapel this year; however, there is a midnight mass in Chipping, only 1 mile away.

Thursday 25th December
Awaken to a glass of bucks fizz and a substantial full English breakfast and for those wishing to blow the cobwebs away, a brisk walk around the gardens. Join us early afternoon for the chef’s sensational Christmas Day dinner accompanied by your choice from our extensive wine list. The evening is spent relaxing in the bar area, resident’s lounge or in the comfort of your room, a buffet supper is available for those who are still hungry.

Friday 26th December
Enjoy breakfast served in our airy conservatory with the River Loud and Longridge Fell as the backdrop and who knows perhaps a sprinkling of crisp fresh snow! The day is yours to do as you please but if you wish you might join Janet for a brisk walk and a light lunch. An early dinner awaits your return to the hotel accompanied by the special sounds of a live piano.

Saturday 27th December
Enjoy a hearty farewell breakfast and then take the time to exchange good-byes and fond farewells to friends old and new before departing reluctantly.

New Years Eve House Party

Wednesday 31st December
Arrive at the hotel in time to settle into your luxurious accommodation before a traditional afternoon tea in front of the roaring fire in the bar lounge. Leaving enough time for you to put your glad rags on and return to the bar at 7.00 pm for Champagne & canapés. From 7.30 pm your sixcourse gourmet dinner, produced by our team of chefs, will be served, followed by dancing until 1.00am. At midnight, after a rendition of ‘Auld Lang Syne’, we offer you a drink from the bar to welcome in the New Year. In order to enhance the party atmosphere, bookings of two people will dine together with fellow residents, unless otherwise requested.

Enjoy a full English breakfast before setting off on your journey into a peaceful and happy New Year.
