You could say that the traditional afternoon tea played a major part in the story of the Gibbon Bridge. Janet’s dream over 30 years ago was to open a small café in which passing cyclists and walkers could enjoy a pot of tea and freshly baked scones. Today our afternoon tea menus are available from £6 for homemade fruit scones, lemon cheese, fresh cream & pot of tea to £26 for a glass of Champagne, a selection of sandwiches, cream cakes, scones & a pot of tea.

Prior booking is essential.  Tea & scones are served Monday to Saturday - 3.00pm to 5.00pm & Sundays 3.30pm to 5.00pm.  Full afternoon tea is only served on Wednesdays 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm.

Perfect for a special occasion, birthday or anniversary.

On certain days we serve afternoon tea accompanied by our pianst so come and take tea with us on any of the following dates (Cost £16.00 per person, between 3.30 and 5.00pm - BOOKING REQUIRED):
