Welcome to the Gibbon Bridge Hotel

On behalf of all the team I would like to welcome you all back to Gibbon Bridge.  Without doubt the last five months have been the most difficult time I have had to survive in business and life.  As a 79 year old living on my own it has been very tough but my team have visited regularly and supported me through these difficult times.  Things will never be the same and as we try and manage our way through it all we can ask is that, as guests of the hotel, you follow the current government guidelines to the very best of your ability in order for us all to stay safe.  Prior to our re-opening we have done our very best to make the environment here as safe as possible.  

We will endeavour to make your visit as 'normal' as possible and certainly as safe and enjoyable as we can but we do require you to follow the instructions below with regard to your stay in order for us all to stay safe:

1.   Please wear facemasks when inside in the public areas of the hotel.

2.   Rooms will not be serviced during your stay unless a request is made via Reception by 5.00 pm the day before.  A time will be organised for this to be done in conjunction with yourselves and you will be required to vacate your room whilst this is undertaken.

3.   If you require clean towels, cups, tea, coffee, etc then please contact Reception between 9.00-5.00 and we will deliver them to your room.

4.   When dining please enter through the Bar & Restaurant entrance (NOT via reception/conservatory unless you require disabled access).

Gibbon Bridge was established in 1982 when my mother and I decided to diversify from farming. We started with six bedrooms and a bar. The business continued to grow, and with it the hotel, and we now have an award winning country hotel with 30 bedrooms and 23 acres of award winning gardens. It is still my home and my passion, and I enjoy nothing more than sharing it with others. I want you to feel at home here too and for you to be able to relax and enjoy our gardens, the fabulous scenery and our locally sourced food. My team and I will do our up-most to ensure your stay with us is one not to be forgotten!

With effect from 2020 full afternoon tea will ONLY be served once a month on a Wednesday on the following dates 7th October & 11th November.  A selection of savoury sandwiches, scones, cream and preserves and cakes, all made freshly for you in our Bakery, along with tea & coffee will be served.  Our pianist will play a selection of your favourite tunes.  

Tea/Coffee, scones, cream & preserves are available Sunday to Friday afternoons between 3.00-5.00pm but we would appreciate it if you could ring to book!
