£1000’s of Luxury Gifts Up For Grabs at Our Fund-Raising Foodie   Event

£1000’s of Luxury Gifts Up For Grabs at Our Fund-Raising Foodie   Event

21 Apr 2016

Join Gibbon Bridge and BBC 2 drivetime broadcaster Nigel Barden for food, fun and prizes

Big-hearted bosses from the world of football and fashion, leisure and hospitality and hair and beauty, have donated thousands of pounds worth of luxury goodies for our Foodie Friday event.

The premiere prizes – from VIP sporting experiences to designer handbags and high-end electrical items - will be raffled to raise money for people affected by the devastating Ribble Valley floods.

All proceeds will go to the Whalley and District Lions who continue to work tirelessly to help those most vulnerable who are still rebuilding their lives and businesses after climatic chaos struck earlier this year.

The glittering event, hosted by culinary king Nigel Barden, will also showcase some of the region’s finest food producers in an impressive three-course feast.

Kicking off the delicious dinner is a starter of Leagram’s twice-baked Cheese soufflé, served on marinated plum tomatoes and topped with deep fried spinach leaves.

The main event is our really crispy Goosnargh roast duckling (supplied by Johnson and Swarbrick) with sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce.

And for pudding, the Gibbon Bridge bakery will be cooking up our home-grown produce to create a mouth-watering rhubarb and custard tart with a rhubarb and ginger sorbet.

Says Nigel - a long-time friend of GB owner Janet Simpson: “I am looking forward to heading back to my Lancashire birthplace to share some great food and stories with Gibbon Bridge guests.

“Lancashire has some of the finest food producers in the whole of Great Britain – and this event and menu will showcase a slice of this.

To join us for an evening of  food, fun and after dinner speaking from Radio 2’s Drivetime chef Nigel, contact reception on 01995 61456.

Tickets cost £55 per person or £500 for a table of 10.

A special accommodation room rate of £120 per room, bed and breakfast is being offered for the night.

"Everything was perfect"

Many thanks to you and all the team for making Rebecca & Alex’s day so special.  Everything was perfect and the day ran smoothly as we knew it would at Gibbon Bridge.  The food and service were excellent as always and the gardens stunning.

"Wedding Venue"

We stayed at this hotel for two nights to celebrate our friends wedding. The room was magnificent! On two floors with a lounge and bathroom on the ground floor and a massive bedroom with a super king size 4 poster bed upstairs. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous with a water feature, a pergola for the ceremony, and a little river running at the bottom. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Janet Simpson the owner must be the hardest working lady in the world, she gets stuck in and helps make the lovely breakfasts. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. This is the place to get married, if you want to do it properly!
