Chef-dePartie

Having recently been awarded one of Britain’s ‘Best Places to Work 2016’; the Chef Patron, is seeking an passionate Chef to join her catering team who is adaptable and able to work at a very high standard.

The successful Chef will be working within a busy restaurant which aims to serve the finest food in the area. The hotel boasts two private dining rooms offering fine dining with fabulous view and gardens, a unique alfresco dining area, function facilities seating 200 covers and a restaurant seating 100 covers offering modern British dishes.

As a Chef de Partie your role may include:

Making sure that mis en plas and equipment are fully prepared before each service;

Catering for functions and events;

Working with all fresh and locally sourced produce; including produce from hotels’ own kitchen garden

To liaise with the Head Chef/Sous Chef and implement new menu and dishes where necessary;

To complete all storage, stock rotation and cleaning tasks for the section to the required standard within the given time.

The ideal Chef de Partie must;

Have been working within a similar role for two years ideally within a very busy hotel;

Fully understand fresh ingredients and how they can work together;

Have a high standard of food preparation and be able to deal with high volumes of orders;

Have a relaxed and easy going nature-be able to work well in a small team;

Work 5/7 days - this will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays;

Have their own Whites, Knives and safety shoes.

Weekend Housekeeper

Saturday           9.00am – 3.00pm

Sunday             9.00am – 3.00pm

The successful Housekeeping Assistant will be part of a busy team that deliver cleanliness to the correct standards throughout the hotel and receive the necessary training.

Your role as a Housekeeper (Hotel Cleaner):

Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas
Take direction from the Floor Housekeepers and the Head Housekeeper
Maintain strict health and safety standards
Support your team

The successful Room Assistant / Housekeeper (Hotel Cleaner) should have:

A superb eye for detail
A good approach to teamwork
The ability to work in a busy environment under pressure

Weekend Bar Attendant

Friday               7.00pm – 1.00am

Saturday           5.00pm - 1.00am

Sunday             11.00am – 4.00pm

We're looking for people that are warm and welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable.

Your role as a Bar Attendant:

Serve guests with drinks from the bar along with hot drinks and snacks from the kitchen
Take direction from the Bar & Hotel Managers
Maintain strict health and safety standards
Support your team

The successful Bar Attendant should have:

Love working in a dynamic team
Attention to detail
Well presented
A knowledge of a quality food, wines, spirits and coffee would be beneficial

Weekend Receptionist

Saturday           9.00am – 4.00pm

Sunday              9.00am – 4.00pm

We are looking for a Receptionist that has a real interest in hospitality & hotels, is organised, customer focused and who can be the face of the business as guests arrive. First impressions count!

Ideally, you will have some reception experience within a hospitality business and of using booking systems. You will be dealing with a variety of different people and liaising across departments.

Maintenance Assistant/Handyman

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant/Handyman to carry out general property maintenance work for the hotel.

The ideal Candidate will need to be skilled at a wide range of general repairs and have a keen eye for detail, and knowledge of working in basic plumbing, electrical & joinery trades, plus general painting and decorating.

This is a part-time role with a need to be flexible to suit the needs of business.
