    With effect from 2020 full afternoon tea will ONLY be served once a month on a Wednesday on the following dates 6th May, 3rd June, 1st July, 5th August, 9th September, 7th October.  A selection of savoury sandwiches, scones, cream and preserves and cakes, all made freshly for you in our Bakery, along with tea & coffee will be served.  Our pianist will play a selection of your favourite tunes.  

    Tea/Coffee, scones, cream & preserves are available Sunday to Friday afternoons between 3.00-5.00pm but we would appreciate it if you could ring to book!

    Our Gastronomy Night is a unique combination of astronomy and gastronomy.  Our last evening was a sell out and Gary Fildes, the man who brought Dark Skies status to Northumberland, astronomer, author and presenter - is returning to inform and inspire you about the night sky.  Gibbon Bridge will provide the culinary delights.     Enjoy a tour of the award winning gardens with our Head Gardener - Robert Lowe & gardening expert Peter Foley, as well as Phil Dykes from the Lancashire Wildlife Trust.  Robert was gardening for Janet before Gibbon Bridge came into being and together they have developed and landscaped the gardens at the hotel and won countless awards!

Thank you Janet for a perfect venue!  The extension enhanced what is a most beautiful setting.  The rooms were of a really high standard.  To all the staff, thank you all most sincerely.  You served us well.  You were all so courteous & helpful.  There was nothing that was too much trouble.
